The Keys to Successful Leadership in Network Marketing, Part 4: Leading Your Team in the Right Direction
How to Lead Your Team in the Right Direction
As you probably already know, Network Marketing is hot in today’s business industry. An increasing number of people are starting Network Marketing businesses – so many that it’s overwhelming!
Why are so many people taking advantage of this business model? Because they are attracted to the prospect of earning healthy commissions on their sales and receiving bonuses, rewards and income as a team leader.
Often, network marketers are thrust into the uncertain world of leadership. On most occasions, they are unprepared to handle such a difficult task. As such, they are not able to deliver what their team members are expecting under their leadership. You see, it isn’t just about leading your team; it’s actually more about putting them on the right track and leading them in the right direction. Let me share something I believe will help see and understand how important leadership is to others on your team. It is simple and easy to remember.
Direction + Directions = Success
You’ve undoubtedly heard the phrase, “the blind leading the blind,” and unfortunately, it applies all too often in Network Marketing.
If you want to lead your team in the right direction, you must possess sufficient understanding of Network Marketing as an industry and the role of leadership in it.
You also must know the direction in which you’re headed. Always have an end result in mind, because a vision of what you want your team to achieve helps you stay on track as you make decisions and take action.
Once you have a vision, you must have a plan for reaching it. Develop a plan that includes daily, weekly, monthly and annual goals for both you and your team members.
The success or failure of achieving these goals will give you an insight as to whether you are headed in the right direction.
Being a leader puts a lot of responsibility on your shoulders, because in addition to your individual success, you are aiming for the success of your entire team. If you keep these simple things in mind, then you and your team are on the fast track to success.
I’d love to hear from you! How have you kept yourself and your team on track toward your goals?
And that’s a wrap!
